I am Wahed. If you are referring to me on a 'first-name-basis', please call me "Wahed". If you need to use my full name, please use "Khandker Wahedur Rahman".
I am an applied microeconomist with an interest in productivity, human capital, and labor market outcomes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). My current research focuses on the role of technology and information in developing scalable solutions for low productivity in agriculture, education, and labor markets in LMICs. I am a senior postdoctoral researcher for the Oxford Martin Program on the Future of Development at the University of Oxford, where I am also an associate member of the Department of Economics. I am affiliated with the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University, as a visiting researcher.
I have completed my Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. I also hold an MPP from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. I have previously worked for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Swisscontact Bangladesh in various capacities.
